  • Generated business hypotheses for a company that runs amusement parks by carrying out Exploratory Data Analysis on their datasets. 

  • Developed a web application for a retail store that needed to forecast sales of different products from different departments in a precise manner in terms of demand and timing. The web application leverages machine learning models for forecasting, as well as dashboards for clear and concise visualizations 

Highlights 

  • Replaced an e-commerce business’s entire Business Intelligence toolkits with custom web applications, saving them over 60% in licensing fees 

  • Designed an end-to-end data mining application for an NGO that scraps COVID-19 data from social media, identifying the underlying sentiments of the public and showing how it changes over time. Presented all that information using an interactive dashboard

Duties:  

  • Analyzed client business and marketing environments to identify online marketing opportunities, with the goal of enhancing brand equity 

  • Designed dashboard applications which communicated departmental KPIs, aiding precise tracking of objectives and effectiveness of on-going strategies – used Python, Dash Plotly and Tableau to achieve this 

  • Supported and drove client media strategies by suggesting potential lead generation opportunities by using media analytics to analyze customer behavior 

  • Designed and managed application pipelines, applying ETL methods and complex SQL queries 

Highlights:  

  • Designed a sentiment analysis application which aggregated negative feedback by social media user, allowing the client to identify trolls by demographic and other specific characteristics. This allowed the client to formulate a strategy to mitigate the effect of such trolls and engage them where necessary; 

  • Developed a full-stack enterprise Online Reputation Management (ORM) system for a client, saving them 78% of the cost of acquiring an ORM from a market vendor 

  • Designed a sophisticated “What If?” content monitoring system, which simulated the different reactions of targeted audiences given when they were provided with different content. Achieved this using machine learning. The system had a 84% accuracy performance

Duties: 

  • Forecasted the demand of a sizeable portfolio of products using machine learning models 

  • Regularly managed large datasets (big data) – used Python and Apache Spark to develop an application 

  • that simultaneously ran forecasting models on 63 different products from 4 different SBUs 

  • Used demand forecasts to optimize the scheduling and volume of manufacturing for multiple products 

  • Provided data insights for multiple people across the business, which include sales & distribution, supply 

  • chain, operations and production  

Highlights: 

  • Used SQL queries and Python applications to develop a data pipeline that replaced the existing system of 

  • importing and exporting data; increasing efficiency by 82% 

  • Introduced dashboard reporting as an alternative to the powerpoint presentations that were in place, 

  • allowing for real time tracking of KPIs 

  • Developed an early warning system that flagged raw materials that were at risk of stocking out due to 

  • current consumption
